Animals Models Not Revelant to Humans

The Soyfoods Association of North America (SANA) would like to respond to research conducted in animals on soy compounds.  The use of animal models for the purpose of predicting human risks has been questioned. Furthermore, various fertility problems seen in some animals but not humans are believed to be due to differences between humans and non-humans in the way isoflavones are metabolized. SANA does not believe that animals are appropriate models for making determinations on human health.
